CONSULTANT VACANCIES

Full Time - Emergency Medicine Specialist and Director of Emergency Ultrasound Training

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Wellington Hospital has an exciting career opportunity for an Emergency Physician with extensive training and experience in Emergency Ultrasound.
A vacancy exists for a motivated Emergency Physician to come and joint our youthful and enthusiastic team. This is a full time position to replace a relocating FACEM and will incorporate a new role as Director of Emergency Ultrasound Training.
Applicants with FACEM and at least 12 months of formal Emergency Ultrasound training are invited to apply.

The position would be one of 8 FTE equivalent specialists.

The Emergency Department has 2 years full ACEM training accreditation. Employment terms would be consistent with the generous NZ MECA agreement. The position will be expected to develop Emergency Ultrasound and provide a centre of excellence for training in Emergency Ultrasound. The Department has a strong Emergency Medicine Training program and there will be an opportunity to participate in the academic program.
